FAQs
Norroa is a paradigm-shifting varroa mite treatment powered by vadescana, a new Mode of Action in beekeeping. It contains no synthetic chemicals or harsh acids and works by svarroa mite reproduction—without harming honey bees. Norroa offers a seffective alternative for modern hive management.
Norroa comes in ready-to-use pouches. Inside the pouch is a 61.6% sucrose solution as well as 2 grams of vadescana.
Apply Norroa any time mite levels are low. The proper dosing is two pouches per brood box.
To apply Norroa, place the right number of pouches flat on top of the hive frames or bottom board, leaving space for bees to access it. Slowly remove the sticker on a flat surface to expose the perforations, then gently squeeze the pouch to start the flow. If needed, smoke bees out of the way before placing the pouch. The treatment is complete once the pouch is empty, usually within a few days.

Norroa targets a specific protein in varroa mites that ultimately stops their reproduction. Studies have shown no negative effects on colony health or brood production.
See our Resources page for academic research on Norroa's specificity and safety to bees.
